Where is Geisha and how to meet or take to picture of Geisha in Kyoto!

Hello

My previous job was tour guide, I took people from other countries all of the Japan for 4 years.

I tell you story When I was tour guide, many people who from other countries were interested want to know about Geisha.

Hello I met her when we walked around Nanzenji temple.

Geisha dog

Most of people who visit to Japan, go to Kyoto.

Actually it's not easy to meet Geisha in Kyoto.

First Who is Geisha?

Geisha are professional entertainers who attend guests during meals, banquets and other occasions. They are trained in various traditional Japanese arts, such as dance and music, as well as in the art of communication. Their role is to make guests feel at ease with conversation, drinking games and dance performances.

What frequently asked questions, does Geisha prostitute?

多分2005年の映画でSAYURI(Memories of Geisha)などの影響があるんでしょうね。
Maybe the movis call Memories of Geisha influenced different way to describe Geisha.

I always said no more prostitute now, they show only their performance.

Geishas are professional entertainer, do not ask to take picture, do not touch them.

Most of Geisha doesn't stop or talk you, they ran away from you.

Next I tell you how to way to distinguish Geisha.
